Day 71: September 13th, 2010

It's unbelievable to me that Paige is 6 months old today. Wow - half a year has never gone by so fast. I'm starting to get a little emotional so I'll just do a little list. :)

- Not sure about height & weight but I'll know next week. probably closing in on 20 lbs and 29 inches!
- Wears 12 months in most stuff. 18 months in pants.
- Has been sitting unassisted since about 4 months. Rolling both ways since 5 months.
- Is DYING to crawl & pull herself up to stand. She tries sooo hard! It's all she wants to do. She can scoot around on the floor & definitely has the legs part of crawling down - but she wants to stay on her elbows rather than push up to her hands haha.
- Starting to get bored of her toys. She likes the more interactive stuff where you can press buttons and pull things to get them to make noise more than just holding a stuffed animal.
- Sits in high chairs in restaurants. Just about too big for her infant car seat.
- Is getting much more friendly & interactive with people. At restaurants, she's looking (okay sometimes staring) at everyone. Doesn't seem to mind being held by other people as long as she's not overtired. She still doesn't like my parents but I think that's a whole different issue altogether.
- Sleeping is like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. She's usually up twice now (which is better than 10-15 times for sure)... always at 12:25 am and 4:25 am. Not sure why but it's always those exact times which makes me think it's just habit rather than real hunger. I miss her just waking up the once at 3:30-4 am like she did from 1 week to 5 months old!
- Naps are much better - she's down to 2-3 naps a day and is awake for longer periods, which I like. We've retired the swing & swaddle for good so she always sleeps in her crib. Getting better about being put down drowsy & awake but still would rather fall asleep in our bed while she drinks and get moved to her crib as she sleeps.
- Sits in the bath instead of laying in the baby tub.
- Started sucking her thumb!

That's all I can think of. She's becoming such a big girl!!
